Rescues that involve an entire bird family are very difficult. You only get one chance to catch the adults and if they manage to escape it can often be impossible to reunite them with their babies.
Simon got a call to rescue a family of greylag geese that had been seen wandering around a residential area near to a busy road. Knowing how difficult these rescues can be, he took three of our volunteers along to help. The geese were wary but allowed the team to get closer and closer, but at the first net went down they only had seconds to ensure this family stayed together!
